Godfrey Ho!!

So anyone that knows me, knows I love ultra low budget Ninja Movies. My faves for the most part are anything by the splice miester Godfrey Ho. He takes a horrible asian flick and and splices in his own ninja flick to create a bewildering combination of shit. Check out this compilation of some of his best stuff.

ROGUE

So I just checked out the killer croc movie by Greg Mclean(Wolf Creek) ROGUE. The first thing I noticed about this flick is it reminded me a lot of Wolf Creek with tourists going into uncharted territory they come face to face with the antagonist, this time the giant croc instead of the serial killer,then going to the killers lair for the final face off. Overall the movie was pretty engaging and the acting was top notch. The one thing I really want to commend this movie on is the effects. The effects are almost all non cgi!! Yes the effects crew really did a great job here I thought the croc was real in a lot of the scenes, it was a rare treat to see this kind of effects work in a modern film that could have easily been all cgi and no one would have noticed. The cgi that is in the film is almost a perfect combination with the foam latex creature. If you like creature flicks I highly recommend this bad ass killer croc movie.

Hmmm..Looks somewhat interesting for sure. I like the hooded Myers and the scenes of him shadowed. It's seems to be kinda taking on a Jason and his mother connection somehow. Ill check it out.

DRAG ME TO HELL -RAIMI

Well here it is the trailer for the new Sam Raimi movie "Drag Me To Hell". He says it's return to his horror roots and nothing but pure horror. It is not a remake which is a plus, I did see a couple of questionable cgi effects in the trailer but oh, well. No matter how serious this movie is I think his fans will still find something funny about this movie. Its a damn shame that when I mention Evil Dead as one of my favorite Horror films people always say how funny it is, are you fucking kidding me. Then they go oh I thought you were talking about Army of Darkness. I tell them to check out the first one, if they do it seems there just looking for something in it to laugh at. It's a fuckin shame. Anyways I guess im ranting on this subject again, go check out this movie and skip the fuckin remakes!!

OBSCURE 80'S CARTOONS

These are pretty bad ass intros to some cartoons ive never even seen. I think Ive only seen Jem and Mask. Defenders Of The Earth is has a fucking kick ass theme song!!

OVERRATED MOVIES PART 1

So I started doing these top 10 lists at work a few months ago, starting off with your obligatory top 10 desert island dvd's. I recently decided to put up movies that I think are overrated in my opinion. It's not that I don't like some of these movies it's just that I am sick and fucking tired of hearing how uber fantastic these movies are. If I hear one more word about how these are the best movies ever made im gonna puke. Anyways here goes.

1. "Ferris Buellers Day Off" - I hear about this one at least five times a year. People are always telling me it's the funniest movie ever made, and the best 80's movie period. Are you kidding me, this really bored the shit out of me. There are way better movies made in the 80's that kick Ferris' ass. Check out "Better Off Dead" or "Joysitcks" instead.

2."The Princess Bride"- Ive' had people tell me this is the best movie ever made. Can you believe this crock o shit, what have they seen this and "Slam Dunk Ernest"? Of course I will watch any Ernest movie over this any time. I don't even know if I have a movie comparable to watch instead of this, I guess "Beastmaster" or "Sword and the Sorcerer" would shit all over this abomination.

1/13/2008 MBV UNCUT

Just an update on my previous post. MBV comes out on DVD 1/13/08 UNCUT!! The DVD will feature the cut scenes edited into the movie, and separately. This also has a couple of docs and commentary. It will be my third copy of the DVD, not to mention I have the VHS and the original movie poster. Here's the trailer for the new DVD release, enjoy.

TOKYO GORE POLICE

This is a new flick from Japan that looks absolutely fucking crazy! With the same over the top gore as Machine Girl but looks more serious and demented. I will definitely be checking this one out.

DEAN CAMERON

So i've been checking out quite a few flix starring the great Dean Cameron. Yes this is the guy who played Chainsaw in Summer School, one of the greatest movie charaters ever. So give this man some props and watch some of his movies, you won't be dissapointed.
Oh yeah he also played Spicoli in the short lived tv show Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Wow, December already? Guess iv'e been neglecting this blog , for the whole 2 people that read it. Anyhow, iv'e found some pretty awesome PSA's (Public Service Annoucements) from yesteryear that for the most part kick ass. So sit back and remember these messages from our heroes, don't smoke,don't drink and drive, don't do crack, don't get vd, don't pollute, and so forth. "R2 do you really think I don't have a heart?"

MY BLOODY VALENTINE UNCUT DVD!!

Yes!! So finally we will get to see an uncut version of the great 80's slasher. I hope they have an uncut print and not just deleted scenes as a bonus on the disc. Oh well, can't wait for this and the 3-D remake, as long as the 3-D effects are cool it will be worth the price of admission.

TRICK R TREAT

So this movie is finally going to be released on Halloween. Got some pretty good reviews from Bloody Disgusting and Dread Central. I guess I have to see it now, just to give this troubled film some love.

MAKING MY LIST, CHECKING IT TWICE, GONNA PUT ALL YOU MOTHERFUCKERS ON ICE

Just finished watching the short film Black Santas Revenge. Pretty good stuff, kinda like a long scene rather than a movie, but cool none the less. Ken Foree is in top form here as a santa bent on revenge from the motherfuckers who stole the toys from the community center. A nice head exploision and other violent deaths at the hands of santa, before the movie wraps up with santa giving away all the toys to the needy kids as promised.

HARSH TIMES

GI JOE

In the early eighties I was a huge gi-joe fan, I loved the toys first of course and the cartoon was also killer. I also had a few of the comics that marvel put out. I guess marvel had a program that rented out characters from their comics. These costumes were pretty cool for the early eighties and had the normal characters, hulk, spidey, etc. but I love this pic of gi-joe. Now Destro here is bad ass, cool mask, cool suit, hairy chest with medallion. What the fuck?, Trip-Wire represents the joes, are you fucking kidding me? Why not Snake Eyes or Duke? This might as well be fucking Medic for shits sake. I mean these are the guys that automaticaly got shot or taken prisoner by Cobra within 5 minutes of me taking them out of the package. I LOVE JESUS

Man the kinda shit you find on the internet. This is a rockin video about lovin jesus. This sounds like some kinda polka keyboard monstrosity. Check out how the guitarist is rocking out hard, yet you actually hear no guitar. Also check out the sweet bass and bass solo near the end of the song, sweet.

So this has to be one of the worst rip off's for horror fans expecting anything related to the movies. This has a shit load of cover songs, and originals that sound like lost 80's pop songs. Freddy randomly laughs and say a few things in each song. Anyhow do the Freddy damn it!
