Anthologies

I've been watching a ton of horror anthologies lately these are two of my favorites. I also scored this sweet orig. Crypt Keeper ceramic candle holder at the local Goodwill.

Yep new shit.

Well it seems this blog is pretty much just used to show off my random scores of the week or month so here is another pretty cool batch of shit filling up my house. The TCM Laser is gatefold and one I've been wanting for a while.

Flea!

This weekend at the flea turned up so pretty cool VHS scores. I have about 8 more that I didn't take a pic of yet, but these are the good ones. Thanks to Sean for spotting the World Video mini clams, those are badass. I remember the "Facing All Death" series when I was growing up and now I finally have some in my collection, plus they were only $1 for 3. Women Unchained has been on my want list for a while now, I just fucking love that box art for some reason.

My Posters.

Back in the 80's and 90's I used to buy a lot of posters which were basically used to decorate my room as a teen. I used to go to the antique show in San Mateo which I think was an annual thing. I would buy toys and posters there as the flea market back then really had nothing to offer, or maybe I just didn't really go to Capitol at the time. Anyway I got a ton of classic one sheets for no more than $20 at the time. My buddy Eric gave a bunch of posters too when he no longer wanted them, and I also traded a bunch of early 90's Hot Wheels for the Texas Chainsaw poster which is the 1974 Bryanston original. This is by no means all of my posters but it's a fair chunk.

Posters

Posters I've found over the past 3 weeks, all for a $1 or less.

Here is some other VHS I scored in the past couple of weeks I wanted to share.

My Bloody Valentine Book Box and Evil Dead slipcase.

Wrong movie in the clam. Both hard to get so for 50cents I grabbed it.

Eerie Midnight Horror Show aka The Sexorcist and here in a slipcase I've never seen, Enter The Devil.

Halloween 6 screener.

Fleeaaa!!

Well I go to the Flea almost every weekend and last weekend was no exception. I did get to go with my pal Sean and it's always cool to go with him because we kinda collect similar stuff. I don't always like going with people because honestly I go through a lot of shit and it takes some time and it can get annoying. Sean really has no issue with this and usually just moves ahead a few spots and I catch up. I think this actually works in his advantage because he finds more things looking in spots he usually wouldn't. Anyways I found some choice VHS some that were even freeeee! Other things found that I didn't take pics of were Contra/3 Stooges NES both for $3 and 5 new snapback hats for $5. Really happy finding Carrie on Magnetic Video for $1 and Greedy Terror which is a made for TV SOV Canadian horror anthology.

Sean also hooked me up with one of my fave SOV slashers on DVD!! This was directed and self released by his uncle Dennis Devine.

New stuff!

So I was in Sac. this last weekend to visit my sister in law and decided to hit up the thrift stores and the flea market. I got lucky finding the skull mask from Halloween III in white vinyl which I've never seen before. I have the black vinyl version which is the more accurate version from the movie but the white one is painted to look more like a realistic skull. Anyways check it out.

New VHS

Well for my birtday my dad gave me a 36inch flat screen. Which would be cool except I already bought a 44 inch about 2 weeks before hand. So I sold the TV to then neighbors for $500 and put $400 in the bank and kept $100 of it for stuff I wanted on Ebay. Here is what I got. Zombie in Wizard big box for $71 and House Of Death Video Gems big box for $24. I am very pleased with both of them. I scored the next day with a Wizard Of Gore on Midnight Video big box for $6.99 on iOffer. I will take a pic of that soon.

Obscure Disturbing Movie #10

Guinea Pig- Flower of Flesh and Blood 1985

A woman walking home late at night is attacked by an unknown assailant who knocks her out with chloroform. When she regains consciousness, she finds herself tied to a bed in a blood- spattered dungeon, at the mercy of a white-faced man in a samurai helmet who wants to turn her into a "flower of blood and flesh." He then proceeds to slowly dismember and disembowel her as the camera records it all. After viewing a portion of this film, actor Charlie Sheen was convinced the murder depicted was genuine and contacted the MPAA, who then contacted the FBI. FBI agent Dan Codling informed them that the FBI and the Japanese authorities were already investigating the film makers, who were forced to prove that the special effects were indeed fake.

Obscure Disturbing Movie #10

Human Pork Chop- aka The Untold Story-1993

The Untold Story tells of a heinous crime that reportedly took place in 80s Macau, where the entire family of the Eight Immortals Restaurant were slaughtered, their bodies dismembered, the bones dumped into trash, and their flesh, as the title already states, gets put as fillings into roast meat buns. Anthony Wong plays the chief villain Wong Chi Hang, who refuses to acknowledge the dastardly murders he had committed, and gives an impressive performance as a dangerous, calculative criminal behind those nerdy looking spectacles.

This Category III movie is unflinching in its violence, and not just those involving weapons like butcher knives, but seemingly innocent utensils like ladles and chopsticks will never be looked upon in the same light again. Women and children are not spared the graphicness of it all, and although some acts were done off screen, it is chilling enough to send shivers, no thanks to the gleefully evil expression of Wong the actor. Rape, dismemberment, beheadings, immolation, they're all here to earn this adult movie its cult status.

Here is a pretty Horrific scene. enjoy.

VHS FINDS!!

Taking a break in the countdown for some of my VHS finds of late, enjoy the splendor of these classics. Finally found Steele Justice even though the box is cut, Martin Kove at his best. Also I have been looking for Cocaine Wars a while too. Nice bright uncut box.
